Media Release 

Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 18-year-old Traycen Birchland-Mecado of Hilo, who was reported missing. He was last seen in June 2021, in the 800 block of Uilani Place in Hilo. 

Birchland-Mercado is described as Caucasian, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 220 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Hilo and Puna areas.

Police ask anyone with information on Birchland-Mercado’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Jerome Duarte at (808) 961-2211 or jerome.duarte@hawaiicounty.gov.
