Media Release (Update #4)

Hawai‘i Island police are again renewing their request for information relative to the disappearance of 42-year-old Jennifer Michelle Showen, of the Hawaiian Shores subdivision, in Pāhoa.

Showen has not been seen or heard from by her family and friends since July 2022, and they are deeply concerned for her welfare. Showen is originally from Montana, however, relocated to Hawai‘i Island several years ago with her two young sons. The boys are back in Montana with family.

Showen is described as approximately 5 feet 7-inches tall, 150 pounds, with dirty-blondish hair.

The red Hummer H3 that she owned and operated has since been located and recovered.

Police ask anyone with any information on Showen’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311, or Captain Rio Amon-Wilkins of the Area I Criminal Investigation Division at (808) 961-2251 or email Rio.Amon-Wilkins@hawaiicounty.gov.
