Hawai‘i island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Kelis Garmon-Mercado, who was reported as a runaway. She was last seen in the lower Puna area on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 1:15 a.m., wearing a white top, blue and white colored striped skirt, and a unicorn print backpack.

Garmon-Mercado is described as local, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 250 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of Garmon-Mercado to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
