In response to a 5:38 p.m. call Monday (October 19) to the 18-1700 block of Ihope Road in Mountain View, Puna Patrol officers learned that 59-year-old Mark Scott Silva had gone to the home of his estranged wife and threatened a 20-year-old woman with a handgun. He then fled on foot into a heavily forested area.

Silva is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5, 150 pounds with hazel eyes, short gray hair and tattoos on both arms. He may have a goatee. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black T-shirt. He has no permanent address but frequents the Puna area.
