Hawai’i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects captured on video surveillance responsible for a burglary in Hilo.

The burglary occurred on the evening of Saturday, September 14, 2024, between 9:00 p.m. and 3:30 a.m., at a business located in the 100 block of Kalanianaole Street in Hilo.  The first male was wearing a dark top, ball cap and dark shorts and had a beige wrap-type bandage on his lower left shin and a small beige bandage below his right knee cap.  The second male was wearing a green long sleeve shirt, red and black ball cap and dark pants.

Police ask anyone who may be able to identify the males captured in the photos or who may have information relative to this case to contact Detective Amy Omaya of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2381, or via email at amy.omaya@hawaiicounty.gov or call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
