Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 28-year-old Irie Hegent who was reported missing. She was last seen sometime in late September 2021 in the 300 block of E. Maka‘ala Street in Hilo and is known to frequent the Puna area.

Hegent is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 5 inches, 140 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She has a leopard-print tattoo on her neck and upper back, and “love/hate” tattoos on her wrists.

Police ask anyone who may have information on Hegent’s whereabouts to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island wide Crime Stoppers number at (808) 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
