Media Release

In an effort to stay engaged with our Hawaiʻi Island community while adhering to the current gathering and social distancing guidelines, the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s South Kohala Community Policing Section invites you to join them for a “Virtual Coffee with a Cop” event on Thursday, November 12, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. via the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Facebook Page.

Coffee with a Cop events are typically an opportunity for community members to engage in casual conversation with their district police officers over a cup of coffee. Since our opportunities to gather in person are limited, you are encouraged to join us for a virtual cup of coffee as we “talk story” with you via Facebook Live. To ensure you receive a notification when this event goes “live,” you are encouraged to visit the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HawaiiPoliceDepartment), click the “like” icon and turn the notifications on.

Please email any questions you may have ahead of the event to Sherry.Bird@hawaiicounty.gov or feel free to ask your questions as the Facebook Live event is going on. You may also contact the South Kohala Community Policing Section at (808) 887-3080 if you have any questions.
