Hawaiʻi Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Makahiki I. Moala, who was reported as a runaway. 

He is described as having a dark complexion, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 170 pounds, with medium wavy/curly black with orange coloring hair and brown eyes. Moala was last seen in Hilo on Monday, November 8, 2021, at approximately 1:27 p.m. wearing a black baseball style hat, black long-sleeve jacket, black pants, and a blue shirt.

Police ask anyone who may have information on Moala’s whereabouts to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or Juvenile Aid Section Officer Corey Kaneko at (808) 961-8843.
