Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Maiya Mattos-Eblacas who was reported as a runaway.

Mattos-Eblacas was last seen in the 500 block of Waianuenue Avenue Street in Hilo on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., wearing a black hoodie, black sweat pants, and slippers.

She is described as Caucasian with a slim build, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown straight hair and hazel eyes. She also has a small scar on her right cheek.

Police ask anyone with information on Mattos-Eblacas’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
