Hawai’i Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Samthen Rinton Ainos who was reported as a runaway.

He was last seen in the area of King Kamehameha Avenue in the Ka‘ū District on December 1, 2023 at approximately 9:51 p.m. 

He is described as a Micronesian male, small build, approximately 5-feet tall, 115 pounds, short black hair, and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue shorts.

Police ask anyone with any information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311, or Officer Rodney Kekaualua, Jr., at (808) 939-2520.
