Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 11-year-old Shaiyah Kalahiki and 15 -year-old Shanden Kalahiki, two siblings who were reported as runaways on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Due to her age, Shaiyah is considered as an endangered runaway.

Both siblings were last seen on Kuhio Drive in the Ainaloa subdivision in Pāhoa around 3:45 p.m. on December 12.

Shaiyah is described as Hawaiian/Filipino with a slim build, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, 110 pounds, with black shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve t-shirt with white sleeves, black shorts, and black Crocs.

Shanden is described as Hawaiian/Filipino with a slim build, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, 130 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes.

Police ask anyone with information on their whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
