Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Thane Leialoha Jr. who was reported as a runaway on Thursday, December 28, 2023. Leialoha Jr. is considered endangered as he is in need of medical treatment.  

He was last seen in the area of Rainbow Drive in Hilo on December 28, at 5:45 p.m., wearing gray sweatpants, a black t-shirt, black crocs, and a jacket draped over his back and neck.  

Leialoha Jr. is described as a local with a tan complexion and thin build, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with curly brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
