2-13-23 (Update) Runaway Shaelynn Gomes Located, Runs Away Again

Media Release

Hawai‘i Island police report that 16-year-old Shaelynn K. Gomes of Hilo, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located in good health on Saturday, February 11, 2023, (Report #: 23-002228).

However, Gomes subsequently ran away again later that same day (Report #: 23-014599). She was last seen in the 1700 block of Kinoole Street in Hilo around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday wearing a grey top, teal sweatpants, and carrying a large camouflage bag. 

Gomes is described as Hawaiian / Puerto Rican with a tan complexion and medium build, 5 feet tall, 120 pounds, with shaved bald brown hair and hazel eyes.
