Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old John Peneku who was reported as a runaway.

Peneku was last seen on Poouli Road in Kurtistown on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 12:00 a.m.

He is described as local with a slim build and light completion, about 6 feet 4 inches tall, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. 

Police ask anyone with information on Peneku’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
