Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Cherish Ahulau-Kaleo, who was reported as a runaway.

She had previously been reported as a runaway and was located in Puna on Friday, February 23, 2024, in good health (Report #: 24-018105). However, Ahulau-Kaleo ran away again the same day (Report #: 24-018245).

She was last seen at 1:00 p.m. on February 23, in the Pāhoa area dressed in a white Nirvana t-shirt, black camouflage hoodie, and gray sweatpants. Ahulau-Kaleo is known to frequent the Hilo and Puna areas.

Ahulau-Kaleo is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, 100 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes. She has scars on her legs, arms, and hands.   

Police ask anyone with information about Ahulau-Kaleo’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or Officer Corey Kaneko at (808) 961-8843 or email: corey.kaneko@hawaiicounty.gov.
