3-08-21 Police Seeking Hilo Man for Five Outstanding Warrants

Media Release 

Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 38-year-old Shayne Kamuela Unea, of Hilo, who has five outstanding warrants for his arrest. The warrants are for bail jumping and criminal contempt of court. 

Unea is described as 5’-10” tall, 200 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has distinctive tattoos on his face, including the word “Waimea-43” which spans from his right ear to his right eye, a tattoo of music notes below his right ear, as well as a treble clef and another large tattoo on his throat area. 

Unea is known to frequent several addresses in the South Kohala, Hāmākua, and Hilo districts and is known to operate several different vehicles, including a white-colored Honda Accord and a white-colored Toyota 4Runner, both with unknown license plates. 

Police caution members of the public not to approach Unea and to immediately contact police.
