Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 56-year-old Mervin Nihau of Hilo who has been reported missing. He has a medical condition that requires medication.

Nihau was last seen on Amau Road in Hilo on Saturday, March 11, 2023, around 7:00 a.m. He is described as Hawaiian, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 175 pounds, brown eyes and gray hair. 

Police ask anyone with information on Nihau’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Lauren Pacheco
