Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Kelis Garmon-Mercado of Hilo, who is reported as a runaway. She was last seen at her residence on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, and is believed to have left the residence in the late evening. She was last seen wearing a red-colored hoodie, gray-colored shorts, and boots.

She is described as local, 5 feet 6 inches, 320 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. 

Police ask anyone with information on Garmon-Mercado’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Lisa Ebesugawa at lisa.ebesugawa@hawaiicounty.gov.​
