3-16-23 Police Seeking Two East Hawai‘i Male Runaways

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two male teenagers in east Hawai‘i who were reported as runaways, 17-year-old Deandre Moore (Report #: 23-016074) and 15-year-old Shaicen Lewis-Benevides (Report #: 23-025500).

Moore was last seen in the area of Desha Avenue in Hilo on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, around 4:00 p.m. wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, and black shoes. He is described as African-American with a medium build, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown curly hair and brown eyes.

Lewis-Benevides was last seen on West Kawili Street in Hilo, on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 7:00 a.m. He is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on the whereabouts of either teen to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
