3-28-24 Police Seeking Runaway Kepene Burrows

Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 12-year-old Kepene Burrows, who was reported as a runaway on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Due to his age, he is considered as an endangered missing child.

Burrows was last seen in the area of Hilolani Drive in Pāhoa on Tuesday, March 26, around 8:00 a.m. wearing a t-shirt, unknown colored shorts, and white crocs.

He is described as Polynesian with a thin build, about 4 feet 11 inches tall, 90 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. Burrows also has a tattoo of his initials on the top of one of his hands. 

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
