Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Daniel Soares who was reported as a runaway.

Soares was last seen on Sunday, April 16, 2023, in Volcano wearing a black jeans, a black colored jacket, and white shoes.    

He is described as having a light complexion, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone who may have information about Soares’ whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Spencer Thomas of Puna Patrol at (808) 965-2716.
