Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 80-year-old Robert Mellard of Hilo who has been reported as missing.

He was last seen on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 11:30 p.m. at the 900 block of West Kawailani Street in Hilo.  He is considered to be endangered due to his age and medical condition.   

He is described as Caucasian, about 5-feet 9-inches tall, 160 pounds, slim build, fair complexion, long gray hair, and unknown clothing description. 

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
