Hawai‘i Island police are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old German Castillo, who was previously reported as a runaway.

Castillo was last seen leaving a juvenile housing facility in Captain Cook on August 14, 2022, and is known to frequent the downtown Kailua-Kona area.

He is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, 140 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes.  He has a tattoo on his left upper chest of a backward letter “C.”

Police ask anyone with information on Castillo’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
