4-28-22 Kona Couple Charged with Numerous Drug Offenses

A Kailua-Kona couple was charged with more than a half dozen drug offenses on Thursday afternoon, April 28, 2022, following their arrest on Wednesday, April 27.

Investigators from the Area II Vice Section served a search warrant on a vehicle occupied by 37-year-old Jolene L. Dinson and 54-year-old Lincoln L. Dinson. Police recovered nearly 35.5 grams of methamphetamine and 5.3 grams of a methamphetamine and fentanyl mixture having a street value of more than $1,500. They also seized more than $2,100 in US currency for forfeiture.

Jolene L. Dinson was charged with criminal contempt of court, two counts of promoting a dangerous drug in the first degree, one count of promoting a dangerous drug in the second degree, and one count of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $100,250. 

Lincoln L. Dinson was charged with one count of promoting a dangerous drug in the second degree and one count of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $25,250.

Their initial court appearance is scheduled for Friday, April 29, in Kona District Court.
