Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Jaysea Smith who was reported as a runaway.

Smith was last seen in the 1700 block of Kino‘ole Street in Hilo on Thursday April 20, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and slippers.

She is described as local/Asian with a fair complexion and thin build, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 107 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone who may have information about Smith’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or Officer Preston Paglinawan at preston.paglinawan@hawaiicounty.gov.
