Media Release (Update #3)

Hawai‘i Island police are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 42-year-old Jennifer Michelle Showen, of the Hawaiian Shores subdivision in Pahoa.

Showen has not been seen or heard from by her family and friends since July 2022, and they are deeply concerned for her welfare. Originally from Montana, Showen relocated to the island several years ago with her two young sons. The boys are back in Montana with family.

She is described as 5 feet 7-inches tall, 150 pounds, with dirty-blondish hair. The red Hummer H3 that she owned and operated has since been located and recovered.

Police ask anyone with any information on Showen’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311, or Captain Rio Amon-Wilkins of the Area I Criminal Investigation Division at (808) 961-2251 or email Rio.Amon-Wilkins@hawaiicounty.gov.
