Hawai‘i Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Chael AKU, who is reported as a runaway.

The teen was last seen on the 2300 block of Ainakahele Street in Hilo, the evening of Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.

He is described having a thin build, light complexion, 5-feet 6-inches tall, 130 pounds, green eyes with brown hair.  

Due to a medical condition that requires medication, AKU is considered endangered.

Police ask anyone with information on Chael AKU’s whereabouts to call the department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311, or contact Officer Chuck Cobile via email at chuck.cobile@hawaiicounty.gov
