A temporary road closure has been announced for Tuesday, June 1, 2021 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Keauhou Kainaliu Beach Road, commonly known as “End of the World”.

The Area II Traffic Enforcement Unit (T.E.U.) will be conducting further investigations of the murder that occurred on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.

An earlier release announced the closure of Keala O Keawe Road (Highway 160) near the scenic point above Pu’uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historical Park. This investigation was completed previously and the road is now open.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution during this time and take alternate routes to get to your destinations if possible.  Please plan for trips taking longer than normal due to the road closure.
