Hawai’i Island police are searching for a 65-year-old Hilo man wanted for multiple warrants of arrest and questioning in a sexual assault investigation.

James R. Lawrence is wanted on two warrants for driving without a valid license and no motor vehicle insurance. He is also wanted for questioning in connection with an unrelated sexual assault investigation.

Lawrence is described as local/Hawaiian, 5-foot-5, 140 pounds with graying black hair, brown eyes and is possibly homeless in the Hilo or Puna areas.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
