Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Tyrone Hernandez who was reported as a runaway.

Hernandez was last seen in the 100 block of Hema Street in Hilo, Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. wearing a white shirt, tan shorts, and green Crocs. 

He is described as having a medium complexion, 5 foot 9 inches tall, 190 pounds, with dark brown curly hair and brown eyes. 

Police ask anyone who may have information on Hernandez’s whereabouts to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Kaipo Aurello at kaipokoka.aurello@hawaiicounty.gov.
