Hawai‘i Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a juvenile female from Ka‘ū who was reported as a runaway.

17-year-old La`akea Martins was last seen Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 10:00 p.m., in Nā‘ālehu.  She is described as being 5-feet-5-inches tall, 140 pounds, having a medium build with light brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes and is believed to frequent the Ka‘ū and Puna Districts.

Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311, or Officer Isaac Michaels of the Ka‘ū Patrol Division at (808) 939-2520.
