Hawaii Island Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 26-year-old Sun Popovich of Mt. View, who was reported as missing.

Popovich was last seen in the Downtown Hilo area on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m., wearing a gray-colored baseball style shirt with a black long sleeve undershirt, a gray-colored “Snap-On” sweat pants, and sandals.  She is described as Native American and has light brown complexion, 5-feet and 4-inches tall, 140 pounds, with long black straight hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone who may have information about Popovich’s whereabouts to please call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Justin Dodo of South Hilo Patrol at (808) 961-2213.
