Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two female runaways, 17-year-old Anuhea Pinheiro-Basques and 15-year-old Mary Costner.

Both were last seen in the 1700 block of Kinoole Street in Hilo on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 9:00 p.m.

Pinherio-Basques is described as Hawaiian with a small build, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, and 119 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, gray sweat pants, and white shoes.

Costner is described as local with a medium build, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, and 145 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweat pants, and slippers.

Police ask anyone with information on either girl’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Officer Oliver Agustin at oliver.agustin@hawaiicounty.gov.
