Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Serenity Salmo-Kaawa, who was reported as a runaway.

She was last seen in the area of a school in the 500 block of Waiānuenue Avenue in Hilo on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 2:15 p.m. wearing jeans and a green colored jacket. 

Salmo-Kaawa is described as having a tan complexion, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 172 pounds, with long wavy black hair, brown eyes, and self-made tattoos on her right hand.

Police ask anyone who may have any information on Salmo-Kaawa’s whereabouts to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
