7-21-21 Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Locating Missing Hilo Woman

Hawai‘i Island police detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 48-year-old Kanani Eve Meridith, who was reported missing. She has not been seen by her family since May 2021. She also has an outstanding bench warrant.  

Meridith is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 175 pounds, with a fair complexion, blondish/gray hair, and green eyes. She is known to frequent the Hilo and Puna districts.

Police ask anyone who may have information on Meridith’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311, or Detective Wendall Carter of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2383 or email Wendall.Carter@hawaiicounty.gov.
