7-29-23 Police Seeking Public’s Assistance Locating Missing Kona Man Benjamin Lipman

Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 57-year-old Benjamin Lipman of South Kona who was reported missing. He was last seen in the Hilo area on Friday, July, 21, 2023.

Lipman is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, with balding light brown/grey hair and brown eyes. He is also missing the tip of his index finger on a hand (unknown side). He is known to frequent the South Kona area, including Keei Beach, and the beach near Pu‘uhonua O Hōnaunau.

Police ask that anyone with information on Lipman’s whereabouts to please contact Detective Jason Foxworthy at (808) 333-2291, or via email at jason.foxworthy@hawaiicounty.gov. People may also contact the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.
