Hawaiʻi Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 18-year-old Luis Villalobos, of Hilo, who is wanted on an outstanding warrant in connection with a third-degree assault investigation.

Villalobos is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.  He is known to frequent the Hilo and Puna districts.

The investigation stems from a reported assault at a high school party at a residence on Akolea Road in Hilo, which occurred on the evening of April 22, 2023.

The juvenile male victim was assaulted by three male individuals where he sustained multiple bruises and abrasions on his face and head.  Villalobos was positively identified as a suspect in this investigation.
