Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Kamalu Freitas who is reported as a runaway.

He was last seen in the area of Aupuni Street in Hilo on Tuesday, September 23, 2024, at around 9:00 a.m.

He is described as local, 5-feet 9-inches tall, 130 pounds, slim build, tan complexion, black hair, and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a black shirt, jeans, black tennis shoes, and a navy blue “LA” baseball cap.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
