Hawai‘i Island police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a man who is being sought for questioning in connection with a theft of a surveillance camera occurring in the Ocean View area of Ka‘ū. His image was captured on video surveillance.

About 6:54 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021, police were called to the 92-8700 block of Highway 11 in Ocean View for a report of a man removing a surveillance camera from the exterior of a business establishment.

Police ask that anyone who recognizes the man, or who may have information about this incident, to call Officer Rodney Kekaualua, Jr., of the Ka‘ū Patrol Division, at (808) 939-2520 or the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.
