Assault victim still in critical condition 10-27-02

MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

An unidentified man suffering head injuries from an apparent assault remained in critical condition Sunday (October 27, 2002) at the Hilo Medical Center.

Responding to a call Saturday, police found the victim lying unconscious on the ground at a Kalanianaole Street address in Hilo’s Keaukaha area.

Fire rescue took the injured man to the Hilo Medical Center emergency room, where he was admitted in critical condition.

Hilo Criminal Investigation Section detectives are continuing the investigation as an assault case.
