MEDIA RELEASE

A brush fire has forced police to close off a portion of the Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) until further notice.

Police said the road was closed about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday (September 25, 2001) at about the 7-mile marker and will be closed until further notice.

There were no other details of the brush fire immediately available.
