Culprits Sought in Warehouse Burglary 02-22-01

Puna police are seeking the public’s help in solving the theft of an estimated $10,000 in equipment from the Hawaiian Phoenix warehouse.

Sometime between 3 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2001, and 6 a.m. the following day, a thief or thieves broke into the warehouse, located on the Mauna Loa Macnut Road near Keaau, and stole generators, machinery, tools and gas tanks.

Anyone with information about the theft or the identity of the thieves is asked to call Officer Iris McGuire of the Puna Patrol at 966-5835 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. The identities of Crime Stoppers callers are kept strictly confidential.
