Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons who ran over and damaged approximately 20 stop signs and street signs Wednesday night (May 14) in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision in Ka’u.

The signs were damaged sometime between 9 p.m. and midnight.

The case has been classified as a criminal property damage investigation.

Police ask that anyone who witnessed the damage or knows the identity of the offenders call Officer Danny Freeman at 939-2520 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
