A 19-year-old Oahu man died Sunday after diving into a pool at Boiling Pots, also known as Peepee falls.

At 3:10 p.m., South Hilo patrol officers and Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a missing swimmer. They learned that Chase I. Morrill of Kaneohe had dived into a pool at Boiling Pots and failed to surface. His friends tried to find him but were unsuccessful.

Fire Department personnel later recovered Morrill’s body.

Police have classified the case as a coroner’s inquest.
