Media Release

A North Kohala man and woman were arrested and charged with an assortment of drug offenses after police served a search warrant at their Hawi home.

Kona vice officers and North Kohala patrol officers executed the search warrant on Kahei Road on Wednesday and recovered 142 marijuana plants, 23.56 pounds of dried processed marijuana, 32.3 grams of hashish, drug paraphernalia and $1,116 in cash.

Mark Bartholomy, 61, and Rebecca Bartholomy, 39, were arrested and charged with commercial promotion of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, promoting a harmful drug, promoting a dangerous drug, promoting a controlled substance near schools and three counts of promoting a detrimental drug.

Bail for each was set at $16,000.
