Big Island police have located a 19-year-old man who escaped on June 11 while being processed at the Kea’au police station for a bench warrant.

Rico Nasario of Pāhoa was located in Beaverton, Oregon. He was returned to Hawai’i on Monday (August 9) and charged with second-degree escape, criminal contempt of court and violating terms of probation.

Police wish to thank the Beaverton, Oregon, Police Fugitive Task Force for their assistance.
