Media Release

Officers from the North and South Kohala Districts of the Hawai’i Police Department remind the public that with the holiday season rapidly approaching, we should all be thankful for what we have and remember those who are less fortunate.

Those two districts are urging all their officers and members of the public to deliver nonperishable foods to either the South Kohala police station at 67-5185 Kamamalu Street in Waimea, or the North Kohala police station at 54-3900 Akoni Pule Highway in Kapa’au.

All donated food will go to food pantries in the respective districts.

For more information, you may call Officer Paul Bugado at the Waimea station at 887-3080 or Officer John Kahalioumi at the North Kohala station at 889-6540.
