Acting on a search warrant, police arrested four adults for a variety of drug offenses Tuesday (November 22, 2000) after observing marijuana growing on property in the Lalamilo House Lots subdivision of South Kohala.

With the assistance of the State Department of Land and Natural Resources and the Hawaii National Guard, Kona Vice Section officers seized 197 marijuana plants, ranging in height from seedlings to 6 feet, outside the residence.

Inside, they recovered 360 grams of dried marijuana, 0.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine, or “ice,” and 11 pills of what is believed to be a harmful drug.

Arrested were two men, 39 and 37, and two women, 41 and 35. All were released pending further investigation of the drug cases. Three of the four suspects who had outstanding warrants posted bail on them.
