Big Island police are seeking information about a burglary that occurred October 12, 2000, on Hualalai Road in the Holualoa area of North Kona.

An investigation indicated that between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. that Tuesday, a thief or thieves entered a residence and took 22 pieces of women’s jewelry valued at $8,350.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the identities of the those responsible is asked to call Officer Akira Edmoundson of the Kona Patrol Division at 326-4646.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 329-8181 in Kona or 961-8300 in Hilo. The numbers are answered 24 hours a day. Callers will be given a coded number and their identity will remain anonymous. Callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if their call leads to an arrest, indictment or the recovery of property. Crime Stoppers neither subscribes to “Caller ID,” nor does it record phone calls.
