The Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Hawaiʻi Isle Police Activities League will host its 7th annual “Halloween Havoc” 3-on-3 basketball tournament October 26-27 at the Kawananakoa gymnasium in Keaukaha.

Team entries are being accepted in the following age group divisions: 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, high school boys, girls 10 and under, girls 12 and under and high school girls. The age cutoff date is December 31, 2013.

Teams interested in participating or needing additional information may call Officer Joseph Botelho Jr. in East Hawaiʻi at 961-8121 or Officer Randy Morris in West Hawaiʻi at 326-4646, extension 258.

Deadline for teams to enter is Friday, October 18. Each team is required to complete a registration packet, which must be submitted by the entry deadline.

In addition to the tournament, the Police Department will have information on making Halloween activities safer, a child seat safety check point and “Click It or Ticket” information throughout the tournament weekend.
